There are many online resources to support paragraph writing skills for children. Teaching kids how to use strategies to help them in writing paragraphs. Some of these strategies are listed below.
The "hamburger" paragraph writing strategy is a great way to provide extra support at home. This resource in "Reading Rockets" will show you how to teach kids to use the hamburger paragraph writing strategy. It also have templates that can be used as well. There is another resource through "Rockin' Resources" that has both videos and examples.
Another strategy is the framed paragraph. You can find instructions and graphic organizers on "Reading Rockets." There is also an informational video.
Sometimes, digital writing might be more motivating for students. You can use the above strategies and combine it with digital "paper" to encourage students to write. Here are some apps or programs you can use to have children practice writing in digital places. Some, like Notability and INKcredible, let children import and annotate PDF documents. Others, like Day One, Evernote, and One Diary let students type in digital spaces.
